InvestLDC!
Thank you for taking an interest in our InvestLDC! campaign. This vital initiative is our primary fundraising effort and we invite each family to contribute a suggested donation of $250 to our campaign. Donations enable us to provide essential resources, enhance learning experiences, and maintain our legacy of having a strong, supportive community for our students and teachers. Join us in making a difference and see the tangible benefits of your support firsthand. Together, we can ensure every lion walking through Lockeland’s hallways thrives and achieves their fullest potential.

Your InvestLDC! Donations at Work
Academic Support
We collaborate with LDC staff to identify and support academic initiatives. Our goal this year is to retain LDC's Math and Reading Interventionists that we previously raised funds to hire. These specialists provide vital support to LDC students, elevating their learning and confidence.
School Resources
Our work with parents, students, teachers and staff help us pinpoint technological needs and raise funds that go toward school technologies that enrich our students' learning experiences. Last year we were able to get LDC their first color printer and provide every teacher with additional budget for supplies.
Teacher Appreciation
From stocking the staff lounge with coffee and treats to compiling lists of our teachers' favorite things, our initiatives like Teacher Appreciation Week and raising funds for their classroom supplies express our gratitude and enhance teachers overall experience at and connection to LDC.

Community Building
Family Involvement at LDC
Our InvestLDC! campaign is essential for the success of our school and its community and relies upon family involvement and business contributions.
High participation reflects our collective commitment to enhancing the educational experience for all students. It shows that families care about LDC’s success and feel a shared responsibility to contribute resources and opportunities for their children and peers. A collaborative school culture leads to better student outcomes, allowing LDC’s PTO to implement programs that directly impact academic achievement and well-being.

Why I Invest
Why I Invest
Through a devastating tornado, the pandemic, school shut downs, virtual school, quarantines, third grade retention bill, and the Covenant tragedy, Lockeland’s incredible teachers, staff, and leadership team have kept their heads up and have lifted us all up with their love and perseverance.
In a world full of chaos, they have been a rock for all of us.
There is no way to ever properly thank these superheroes for all that they do every single day. By contributing to Invest, LDC families are able to help provide funds that support our teachers in ways that they have prioritized to us.
My family is forever grateful to what everyone at Lockeland has done for us over the past four years, and this is a small but meaningful way we can thank them.
Megan Manly, PTO Past President
Why I Invest
When our family first started at LDC, I wasn’t fully aware of why the PTO raised funds or why Invest was necessary, but now I know how important it is for the school and students.
It’s no secret that public schools are underfunded, and since LDC is not a Title 1 school, the PTO is responsible for fundraising to pay for reading and math interventionists (LDC’s are amazing!) as well as for things like the school’s copier and smart boards among others. The teachers are polled every year, and the PTO funds are used for the items at the top of that list that will make the biggest impact on our kids and teachers.
It’s also awesome that, since we have Invest, we don’t have to sell chocolates and magazines and all those things to fundraise throughout the year!
Lauren Walsh, PTO President-Elect
Why I Invest
We invest because we believe that it’s our responsibility to give our time, energy and dollars to keep Lockeland Design Center great. LDC has become a pillar in our amazing community because of the families before us investing and building our school. We have been entrusted with its future and we take that responsibility seriously. The PTO is incredibly transparent with the budget, so we know our money is well spent. If we are being honest, we also love not having a different fundraiser every month where 1/2 of the proceeds go to the third party for profit business, like candy and wrapping paper sales. Everyone can give something, and no amount is too small.
